“And when you’re consoled (everyone eventually is consoled), you’ll be glad you’ve known me. You’ll always be my friend. You’ll feel like laughing with me. When you look up at the sky at night, for you it will be as if all the stars are laughing. I’ve given you stars that can laugh. You’ll have stars that can laugh!”
- Antoine de Saint-Exupery, Le Petit Prince

Believe with all of your heart that you will do what you were made to do. — Orison Marden

My mother told me there would be days like this.
Days when, no matter how sure of yourself you are or have been, the doubt creeps up on you. This doubt, this dark force, causes you to feel inadequate in the most unsettling ways. You wonder if you have come this far just to liquify and evaporate, crashing in your entirety on the shore under your feet. The ebb and flow of the waves will consume you out to sea. Significant and insignificant all at once. A piece of a whole. You wish, you wonder.
You may feel completely alone. Maybe you have always felt completely alone. You may think that you are not worth it. You may believe that you will never find what you are looking for.
I promise you that you will find it, but more often than not, this takes time. And it is the waiting that is heartbreaking, because you may feel that everyone has forgotten about you in the meantime.
And then you might remember that the dark days are what you make of them, and there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes this light appears in places or in faces where you would least expect it.
To those who are feeling lost today (and this is every bit for me as it is for you)… Hang in there, remember to remember that this world is for you. You are very Lucky. Even if you don’t see it right now. Even on your darkest days.
With my heart,
Leanna

To extend our trust unto someone is the greatest comfort that we as humans will ever experience. We take solace in knowing that no memory, no sense, and no palpable feeling that we presently possess will ever come as close as truly recognizing with every fiber of our being that another entity holds our love higher and more precious than the most sought after treasure in all of the universe. — (via leannabanana)

Will you still love me when I got nothing but my aching soul ?
Butterfly…my all..my own, Butterfly
My butterfly, I remember the
day we met. You bumped into me.
Well, sort of floated, from no where,
and from that moment, I recall what
I said, ‘Well, my little butterfly,
where did you come from.?
Butterfly, you laughed, and responded,
‘I picked you out, and just floated down,
and landed on your shoulder.
Butterfly, there are many that think
that a Butterfly, can’t laugh, but you did.
They think that a Butterfly, does not cry,
but you have.
Can a Butterfly be happy, cause happiness?
Butterfly, of mine…you did.
Can a Butterfly, caused one to nearly burst
with joy? Butterfly, you did and you have.
Butterfly, there is not a moment, since I
met you, that I can not recall.
Some might wonder what a butterfly, drinks.
Butterfly, shall we let them know, we became
intoxicated, as we sipped the nectar of life.
As my butterfly and I floated through the
wonders of earth, I wish we could share the
joy we found, with all of this planet.
Butterfly, shall we always be together?
Butterfly, I do not mean, just here on
earth, I mean until the stars stop shinning.
Butterfly, I mean, until there is no moon…
no anything, but my Butterfly and I.
Butterfly…I think that we will. Butterfly,
I believe that we were meant to be.
(Because I love this poem more than words are adequate.)

And the butterfly overcome with love for the rose and heedless of thorns and other dangers passes by the daisies and lilies. Drawn by the heady aroma and the madness it causes, rushes headlong into destruction or salvation and pauses not a moment to ponder.
“I do not like the human race. I don’t like their heads. I don’t like their faces. I don’t like their feet. I don’t like their conversations. I don’t like their hairdos. I don’t like their automobiles. I don’t like their dogs or their cats or their roses.”
– Charles Bukowski

There is a line that gets crossed from time to time that will cause you to feel hurt, deeply. It sneaks up on you, leads you to wonder why you even try, even bother. It ruins your little world for a while, & you just can’t climb out. Today is one of those days for me, an utter confluence that breaks me down.
And then I remember, tomorrow will come.
I remember that you are out there, that you deeply care, that you love me.
Slowly the pain starts to fade as today becomes tonight becomes the next morning.
I remember that life is hard, but life is worth every bit you put into it.
And I love you too.
